Iron Rule of Cancer (First Biological Law)

Every symptom not caused by biological programs such as injury, poisoning, or malnutrition is caused by a special biological program that begins in the psyche.

A special biological program begins with a DHS: an experience within consciousness that we interpret as unexpected and serious because, against our existing worldview, we take it as proof of isolation from the source of our existence.

It is not a shock done to us from outside, but a meaning we make within our unconscious mind (psyche). In that instant we form a biological conflict in our psyche.

Psyche, brain, and body are a single information-processing system — a "biocomputer," or wet system: far more sophisticated than any "dry" computer, but operating on the same principle.

Crucially, that system does not run itself. The consciousness is the one operating and originating it. Having made the meaning of the conflict, the individual — through brain and nervous system — renders precise tissue and/or functional changes in the body to meet what it has judged to be an emergency. The organ is the instrument and the result; consciousness, through the organism, is the doer.

These changes are biologically meaningful, not random damage, and they repair and renovate during the healing phase once the biological conflict is resolved in the psyche.

The rule is named for cancer because that is where Dr. Hamer first found it, but it governs every special biological program. Tissue changes diagnosed as "cancer" are either the response consciousness renders to an active biological conflict, or the restoration process it runs after resolving the conflict — which of the two types of cancer depends on the second biological law.
