Existence

Existence is the experience of being sourced and held by life itself — a sense of meaning and order so complete that one's being is simply never in question. It is the natural state of a psyche carrying no biological conflict, and it is what we experience the lack of during "existential isolation."

Existence, within the psyche, is the ineffable experience that the source or author of one's life is handling everything. It is not something one has to secure, defend, earn, or even notice; it is simply the case. To a psyche with no biological conflict, existence is of no concern at all: it is obvious, unquestionable, and eternally reliable. One simply "lives in the hand of the Gods."

This is possible because the actual source of existence is the omnipresent consciousness in which everything arises. That source is never genuinely absent, so existence itself can never truly be in danger. It is the ground of being, profoundly real whether or not you are aware of it.

What ca be lost or threatened is not existence but the sense of it. The moment one forms the idea (in one's psyche) that one's source is threatened, absent, or non-existent — that one has been cut off from the ground of one's being — existence is experienced as threatened, and that is the moment of the formation of "isolation" within the psyche: the existence conflict. This is the original Dirk Hamer Syndrome (DHS) and the core of every type of DHS.

Everything we reach for as a potential "solution" to any biological conflict is actually a hoped-for "proof" that our existence is secure. And that proof of existence is sought only once that original, given sense of existence has been obscured.
