Between 1981 and 1991, Dr. Hamer identified five biological laws that govern the structure, purpose, and progression of every meaningful Special Biological Program (SBS).

The Germanische Heilkunde (Germanic New Medicine) comprises these five biological laws.

These laws describe how symptoms begin, how and why the organism responds and adapts within the special biological program, how tissues change, how microbes participate, and how these processes are the basis of our biological evolution.

The fifth biological law is the quintessence of the Germanic New Medicine. We may think of the Germanic New Medicine as the fifth biological law, with the other four biological laws as subsets of the fifth.
